Sons and Brothers... A presentation of acoustic music that combines elements of Western, Gospel, Bluegrass, and Old Time fiddle music. “We draw on the traditions of Bluegrass and Old Time and use these elements to describe and present musical experiences relevant to life in the West, and more specifically, here in the mountain West,” says Frank Wolking, who plays guitar and sings in the group. “I feel very fortunate to play music with my brother, Fred, and such a great group of young men. My sons, Mike, (dobro, banjo, guitar) Joe, (mandolin and fiddle) and Aaron (bass guitar) are playing and singing some wonderful music at this point in their lives. It seems like we’re right on the edge of something very special in the way that we are able to work together and present this view of our lives here in the Western region of the United States.” The band has traveled, with great success, to concerts and festivals in numerous states over the past eight years, as well as Scotland, England and Wales.
