The English Brothers... Who are the English Brothers? They are brothers Greg, Wes, Ray and Gerald English, all born and raised in Texas. The brothers have been performing together in various combinations since the mid 1970s, bringing together finely-tuned vocal harmonies that only family members can achieve. Our Mission Statement: We will strive for excellence in all our endeavors both on and off stage to the glory of God. Our goal is to provide entertainment that combines professional performance within the context of a God-centered ministry. We will always present a wholesome, fun-loving venue of (cowboy) music aimed at blessing all ages with the love of Jesus Christ. We also promise to use tasteful, home-grown humor and expressions supporting traditional family values. "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:19 Greg: Baritone/Bass - lead and harmony vocals, guitars, mandolin, 5-string banjo, harmonica. Director of Business He promises that one day he will get really good on a single instrument and stick with it like his brothers. Until then Greg will continue to mix his multi-instrument talent with velvet smooth harmony supporting that unique genetic blend. Greg and Wes started the original English Brothers while in college entertaining crowds with their "Smothers Brothers" style music and comedy throughout Texas. For many years Greg devoted his musical energy through ministry at his local church with his wife and children better known as The English Family. "I believe people are hungry for good music, laughter and a spiritual connection...and I aim at pleasin' all three!"   Wes: Baritone - lead and harmony vocals, rhythm guitar, stand up bass. Director of Music, Recording, and Menu Wes performed for 22 years as a singer/yodeler/musician with the world famous Flying W Wranglers in Colorado Springs - the 2nd oldest Western band next to The Sons of the Pioneers. In addition to entertaining at the Flying W Chuckwagon Ranch, Wes performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Nashville Now, and with the Colorado Springs Symphony with the Wranglers. During that time they recorded over 18 western, gospel, and comedy albums, which sold worldwide. He enjoys writing songs and expressing his faith through lyrics and melody. In 2004 God inspired Wes and his family to move back to Texas with the vision of starting a Chuckwagon with his brothers that would bring joy to families of all ages. "The Canyon Trail Chuckwagon is what I know God wants for me at this time in my life and I feel blessed to get to live out this dream with my brothers." Although Wes is loved dearly, his brothers sometimes aren't sure if his horse sense is enough to saddle up and ride. Ray: Tenor - harmony and lead vocals, guitar and mandolin. Chaplain and Construction Director Ray's fiery tenor voice tops off the rich English Brothers sound. He joined brothers Wes and Greg for a time playing bass and expanding the English Brothers to a rich three part harmony. Overall Ray's passion and gift is leading contemporary worship. He has fulfilled that role in several churches through the years. "We're pretty passionate about the way in which we do music together and desire to convey the message that we all have experienced a saving hope in Jesus Christ. That is our fueling motivation to inspire and motivate others to open their lives to God's love and plan for them." Just a fair warning that although Ray is only human but on occasion his head can get too big for his Stetson so the brothers have to ease him back down to reality. Gerald: Tenor/Baritone - lead and harmony vocals, stand-up bass and guitar. Creative Design Director Last, but not least, Gerald completes the brothers sound through his lead vocals and harmony. Gerald is the witty one of the bunch and his "side-saddle" view of life will leave you in stitches. Although he tries really hard, Gerald seldom can rise above his status as "the baby." "All my life I've lived in the shadow of my brothers and you know the simple truth is, as long as they follow in the Lord's footsteps that's a great place to be!" His artistic talent is not limited to music.
