Carin Mari & Pony Express...

Carin MariThe music of Carin Mari & Pony Express embodies the spirit of Western Music! Carin's original songs and fresh arrangements of the classics, which feature warm harmonies and pure yodeling along with superb musicianship, have won the group numerous awards. They have a respect for the traditional western sound, but strive to create their own refreshing sound that appeals to the lovers of the traditional western music, as well as those new to the genre.
The future of Western Music is safe in the hands of this trio!

Carin took a suggestion form Michael Martin Murphey and learned to sing Patsy Montana's "I Want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" when she was nine years old, which launched her passion for Western music. She quickly picked up the guitar, and her brothers, Colin and Evan, joined in the fun on bass and mandolin.

Carin Mari & Pony ExpressThe teens have been playing at some impressive venues all over the country for over six years; an Inaugural Ball at the Smithsonian, the John Wayne Centennial Celebration in Winterset, Iowa, and Michael Martin Murphey's WestFest, to name a few.

Colin is a Certified Audio Engineer and is working on the band's fifth CD. Their latest release "Follow the Trail" won the 2008 Colorado Country Music Best West Album! Carin took the top two awards in songwriting with the title track - "Follow the Trail", winning second place. The first place award went to "Always a Road", which will be released on the upcoming CD.
